Nikhat Khan Hegde brings depth to Shah Rukh Khan's role in Pathaan

Shah Rukh Khan is back and making a splash in his latest film, Pathaan. Fans eagerly flocked to theaters across the country as early as 6 in the morning on opening day, eager to see SRK return to the big screen in a leading role. Alongside Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Ashutosh Rana, and Dimple Kapadia, SRK's foster mother is played by none other than Nikhat Khan Hegde, Aamir Khan's sister.

Newsbristo can confirm that Nikhat Khan Hegde brings to life Pathaan's foster mother, an Afghani woman, in the film. In the movie, she not only calls Pathaan her son but also ties a taweez, an armband, during a poignant scene in Afghanistan. Nikhat has been sharing clips on her Instagram stories from audiences in theaters who were quick to recognize her.

With a successful career in both acting and producing, Nikhat Khan has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. She made her TV debut last year with the Star Plus show "Banni Chow Home Delivery" and has appeared in films such as "Mission Mangal," "Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior," and "Saand Ki Aankh." As a producer, she has been behind successful projects like "Lagaan," "Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke," and "Tum Mere Ho."
